Scott is a Junior Partner at Principle Recruiting, working with attorneys seeking strategic career moves and law firms looking to add top-tier talent. Based in Chicago and originally from Cleveland, he focuses primarily on the Midwest market, with an emphasis on corporate and transactional placements. A former Big Law corporate attorney, Scott brings firsthand experience and a practical understanding of the demands attorneys face.

Before joining Principle Recruiting, Scott practiced as a corporate transactional attorney for six years at both AmLaw 100 and AmLaw 200 firms in Cleveland and Chicago. His work focused on mergers and acquisitions, debt finance, and transactional restructuring.
His experience advising clients on complex deals allows him to understand both the professional and personal considerations that drive attorneys’ career decisions.

Outside of recruiting, Scott is a die-hard Cleveland and Ohio State sports fan. You can usually find him watching the Browns, Buckeyes, Guardians, or Cavaliers. He is also an avid moviegoer and is currently training to become a volunteer Architecture River Cruise docent with the Chicago Architecture Center. If you’re on the Chicago River this summer, you may just catch him giving the tour.
